Well, the show was quiet compared to previous years, thank you to those that took the time to come down and meet us; we enjoyed some fantastic interest in our Plus-Brand of products and returned home pleased we exhibited.
What we found to be immensely interesting was the exceptional end users prices offered by our competitors. Many organisations of all sizes are paying trade prices or extremely close to them. This only goes to confirm that channel margins are too low and why hundreds of resellers around the globe from 55 countries are switching to Plus-Ribbon, Plus-Card and Plus-Clean, not only to compete but to secure needy profits that are also attractive and worthwhile.
Our live demonstrations highlighted the performance of our products across several leading card printer brands and everyone was taken back by the quality, most significantly that of Plus-Ribbon. The common consensus being that print quality is so close to original ribbons compared to the prices which are significantly lower. Many questioned themselves about how they can now justify paying more hereon which is exactly what we hoped to achieve for the industry when we launched our new RFID compatible ribbon range over one year ago.
We returned with the feeling that the show will result in around £100,000 worth of new purchases this year, providing a much needed budget boost for many operating ID Card issuance programmes. Some have budget cuts and some have budgets on hold, either way, everyone is looking to save money, and where possible do so without compromising quality and service. Plus-Brand is achieving exactly that!
From a UK perspective we found the Magicard range and namely our LC1 compatible ribbon from Plus-Ribbon the most popular. With our new retail price of just £33.97 per ribbon (+vat), customers were amazed they can save anywhere from £9 to £39 per ribbon. The saving range reflecting the variety of prices on our market today. One company told us our savings will protect around £8,000 of their budget this year alone.
Second place interest was Plus-Ribbon compatible with Datacard printers which retails now at only £59.97 for the 500 image YMCKT (PR 552854-504) and comes with a Plus-Clean cleaning card and cleaning roller free of charge.
